Mahalobay

This past February, while visiting my mom for Chinese New Year, I took the opportunity to slip on down to Singapore for a few days to do some location scouting for Ascendance. A lot of the parts of the book that happen in Singapore were places that I had visited in the past, and I wanted to ‘refresh’ my memories of these places in order to better represent them in the book.

Fellow industry colleague Dave and his wife Joa graciously played tour guide hosts to a jetlagged US tourist – and made the extra effort to introduce me to the not-so-touristy underbelly bits, because of course every good story has to dig deep into the soul of the city 🙂 Thanks Dave & Joa!!
